SHUTTLE TRANSFER

A Shuttle Transfer was designed to carry a 15,000 lb. heat treat rack from one lane of the process to another. The hydraulic actuated shuttle lifted the product up by raising above the storage rails and carried it to the parallel lane. The shuttle can then lower the rack and return to the other side to pick up another rack for indexing. Unlike standard chain transfers, the shuttle transfer allows the rack to move position without moving the entire lane. The shuttle allows for a variety of lengths and number of products to be transported. In addition to racks, the shuttles are designed to convey heavy duty product such as bars, pipes and beams.
